Welcome to my site
I am a Dutch photographer/anthropologist and journalist living in Pittsburgh (USA). I do a lot of travel photography and travel writing. I also write - both in Dutch and English - about science, technology, cultural and environmental issues.
In the last twenty years I have photographed cultural and religious traditions around the world from Mexico to Bhutan. I speak six languages and basically feel at home anywhere in the world.
Most of my work is published in travel magazines, science magazines and newspapers in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the USA.
My work has recently been published in magazines like:
